A primer for anyone who wants to understand what microaggressions are, why they are harmful, and how to nip them in the bud!

Microaggressions are everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights, snubs, or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to target persons based solely on their marginalized group membership.

In this webinar, we will break this down into bite size pieces, apply this to real-life scenarios through interactive exercises, and explore ways to interrupt and combat microaggressions when they happen. We will also walk through the best ways to respond when someone tells us that we've committed a microaggression -- moving away from defensive reaction to toward a healing and thoughtful response.

This program builds off of our "Intro to Intersectionality" and "Intro to Implicit Bias" webinars -- so please consider attending all three!

This is incredibly important for all people to know and work on, and especially white people, business owners, managers, supervisors, human resources (HR) professionals, diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) professionals, and anyone else who wants to be more affirming and equitable of all people.
